Money-Back Guarantee

Effective: January 1, 2025 Last updated: May 1, 2025
Section 01

Guarantee Overview

Our Commitment: Meta Xcel Academy stands behind the quality of our programs. We offer two distinct forms of financial protection: a 14-Day Cooling-Off Guarantee and a Job Placement Money-Back Guarantee for qualifying graduates.

This Money-Back Guarantee Policy ("Guarantee Policy") is incorporated by reference into the Meta Xcel Academy Terms of Use and supplements the cancellation and refund terms set forth therein. In the event of any conflict between this Guarantee Policy and the Terms of Use regarding refund matters, this Guarantee Policy shall control.

This Policy applies to students who enroll in a qualifying Meta Xcel Academy bootcamp program on or after January 1, 2025. Students enrolled prior to this date are subject to the guarantee terms in effect at the time of their enrollment.

This Guarantee Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. It does not create or imply any contractual obligation beyond the specific terms stated herein, and does not waive any terms or conditions of the Terms of Use except as expressly stated.

Section 02

14-Day Cooling-Off Guarantee

We want you to be fully confident in your decision to enroll with Meta Xcel Academy. Accordingly, we offer a full tuition refund if you cancel your enrollment within fourteen (14) calendar days of the program's first official class session (the "Cooling-Off Period").

To qualify for the 14-Day Cooling-Off refund, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Your cancellation request is submitted in writing to info@meta-xcel.com on or before the fourteenth (14th) calendar day following the program's first class session;
  • You have not accessed more than fifteen percent (15%) of the program's total course materials or modules;
  • You have not received a certificate of completion or any credential issued by Meta Xcel Academy or a partner certification body in connection with the program;
  • Your account is not under investigation for, or has not been found responsible for, any violation of our Community Standards or Terms of Use.

Refunds under the Cooling-Off Guarantee will be issued for the full amount of tuition paid, exclusive of any non-refundable fees as described in Section 6.3 of the Terms of Use. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within fifteen (15) business days.

Note: If you are enrolled through a third-party payment plan or financing provider, cancellation and refund terms of that provider's agreement may also apply. Please review your financing agreement carefully.

  • Economic or market conditions affecting hiring in your field do not relieve eligibility requirements or entitle you to the guarantee outside the defined process;
  • The program you enrolled in is listed as non-eligible in Section 3;
  • You enrolled through a third-party corporate sponsorship or employer-funded arrangement, unless the employer confirms in writing that you are personally responsible for tuition repayment.
Section 07

Section 08

Refund Processing & Tax Treatment

8.1 Refund Method. All guarantee refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for tuition. If the original payment method is no longer available (e.g., a closed credit card account), we will work with you to arrange an alternative refund method, which may include a check issued to your verified mailing address.

8.2 Tax Considerations. The tax treatment of refunds may vary based on your individual circumstances. If you claimed an education tax credit, deduction, or used 529 plan funds in connection with your tuition, receipt of a refund may affect your tax obligations. Meta Xcel Academy is not a tax advisor. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional regarding the tax implications of any refund you receive.

8.3 No Duplicate Recovery. You may not receive both a pro-rated refund under Section 6 of the Terms of Use and a Job Placement Guarantee refund. The guarantee is available only to students who completed the program in full.
