MetaXcel Code of Conduct Working Group
The MetaXcel Code of Conduct Working Group is responsible for addressing conduct-related issues and de-escalating conflicts.
Handling Issues
If you encounter an issue, report it to the Working Group by submitting a Code of Conduct Report. If you’re uncomfortable reporting to the group as a whole, you can contact any member privately, who will then escalate the issue while maintaining your confidentiality if requested.
- If a Working Group member is involved in the issue, they will be recused.
- The Working Group will handle issues with discretion and sensitivity, aiming to protect the privacy of all parties and avoid conflicts of interest.
- The incident will be reviewed by the Working Group, which may reach out to other community members for context (with the reporter’s permission).
- Possible outcomes may include requests for apologies, warnings, or temporary/permanent bans from community activities.
- Appeals can be made to the Working Group or its members.
The goal is to resolve conflicts harmoniously through discussion and mutual agreement. Forceful measures like bannings will be used as a last resort.
